Senior Structural Analysis Engineer at Boeing Defense Space & Security, supporting government customers and developing new capabilities. What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements to establish the system design
  2. Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle
  3. Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and that verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
  4. Develop and maintain analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of development and sustainment efforts
  5. Work with multi-discipline teams to support mechanical subsystem and payload integration product definition including layouts, detail parts, and installation datasets

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 9 or more years' related work experience
  • Proficiency with stress analysis software (ex. Nastran/Patran, Hypermesh, Abaqus, etc)

Nice to have

  • Strong communication skills to interface with different program and customer teams
  • Experience providing structural analysis support for part fabrication, on-vehicle installation, and manufacturing nonconformances
