Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

This role is for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer at NVIDIA, focusing on ensuring component quality for AI-centric datacenter, automotive, and consumer products. The engineer will work with suppliers and internal teams to develop quality programs, manage end-to-end component quality, qualify vendors, drive failure analysis, and implement continuous improvement plans. The role requires a strong background in structured problem-solving, failure analysis resolution, and NPI quality methodologies within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for managing end-to-end component quality, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to assure new product readiness and ensure performance meets key quality and reliability metrics.
  2. Qualify component vendors supplying tester components, bring up inspection and tester vendors to meet tray and rack level testing demand.
  3. Establish and lead activities within internal and external teams to ensure proper definition of quality expectations appropriate for each mechanical component. Compile and evaluate data to understand acceptable limits of manufacturing process.
  4. Drive component Failure Analysis activities, including: understanding component failures and defining FA goals, coordinating complete FA work at suppliers’ FA facilities, summarizing and presenting FA results, implementing Corrective Actions and lessons learned following 5-Why practice.
  5. Develop continuous improvement plan with suppliers and track/reporting progress

Skills

Required

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering (Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent) or equivalent experience
  • 8+ year’s relevant experience in a complex, high-volume manufacturing environment with audit experience
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing techniques and process/quality controls for mechanical components.
  • Proven understanding of data driven, statistical QC and QA problem solving methodology

Nice to have

  • Ability to travel domestically/internationally to supplier sites on as needed basis ~10-20%
