Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, Intelligence Systems

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Santa Ana, CA · Hardware Engineering : Quality : Quality Engineering

This role is for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer focused on intelligence systems within a defense technology company. The role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of avionics modules and components, partnering with design and production teams, and managing supplier quality development processes. It requires experience in electronics manufacturing, supplier quality engineering, and scaling capabilities from prototype to production, with an emphasis on custom microcontrollers/FPGAs. A U.S. Secret security clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with our design teams to support the design development process, provide design for manufacturability feedback, and help generate product data (drawings details, BOM information, layouts, test requirements, and part requirements) for PCB/PCBA parts that lead to supplier quality success.
  2. Use your knowledge and expertise of electronics materials, processes, DFM, and inspection/measurement to support the internal Anduril design process and ideation. Provide leadership for manage technical risks, proof of concepts, prototyping, and scaling designs for volume production to internal design development.
  3. Drive the supplier quality development processes throughout the product development stages with the product engineering team through design reviews, supplier process development, testing, and qualification for components and sub-assemblies for circuit cards, LRUs, sensors, power supplies, actuators, and other common modules. Review supplier processes and capabilities to ensure alignment to electrical performance & sub-assembly requirements can be achieved.
  4. Partner with development engineering, product quality engineering, sourcing engineering, category management and program management to deliver predictable supply to the development programs, production programs, and manage exceptions/containments/deviations for supplier technical performance, particularly in the development phases.
