What you'd actually do

  1. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team.
  2. Serve as a technical project leader.
  3. Participate in meetings with customers, providing technical guidance and best practice to ensure successful outcomes.
  4. The candidate is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows/Linux infrastructure for classified programs.
  5. Ability to assist with troubleshooting, patching, and support Windows, ESXi and Linux Systems.

Skills

Required

  • University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance
  • SME level experience with Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, NETAPP, networking administration experience, Windows or Linux administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suites
  • Experience with Server architecture and troubleshooting methods
  • Experience in DevSecOps, containerization, Kubernetes

Nice to have

  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Windows desktops (Windows 10, 11), Splunk and ESXi
  • Scripting/ automation PowerShell, Bash
  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification
  • Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development
  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange
  • High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment
