Senior Systems Engineer, Corporate Engineering

This role focuses on building and scaling systems, workflows, and automations for the employee experience at Vanta, leveraging AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude to automate IT operations and internal support. The Senior Systems Engineer will design, deploy, and maintain corporate systems, integrate AI capabilities into internal tools, and partner with Security and IT Operations teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, deploy, and maintain business-critical corporate systems and SaaS platforms.
  2. Build and configure AI-driven workflows and automations using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Dust, as well as custom development where needed.
  3. Deploy and integrate AI capabilities into internal systems such as Slack and Okta using platforms like Vercel, to automate IT operations tasks and internal support, while maintaining security, privacy, and data integrity.
  4. Own and improve workflows, automations, and integrations across collaboration and productivity tooling.
  5. Partner with Security and IT Operations teams to implement and enforce policies, access controls, and compliance requirements across corporate systems.

Skills

Required

  • Advanced proficiency administering a broad SaaS portfolio in hybrid, high-growth environments, with deep expertise in our core stack: Okta (including Workflows), Google Workspace, Slack Enterprise, and Atlassian.
  • Hands-on experience building integrations and automations against SaaS APIs, using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or GAM.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts including SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM.
  • Proven ability to design scalable workflows and operational processes in enterprise environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across interconnected systems.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously and driving projects from conception through implementation.
  • Effective communicator who can break down complex technical problems for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Write clear, maintainable documentation as a standard part of the work
