Senior Systems Engineer, Discovery

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Washington, DC · AFS : Discovery Engineering : Discovery Engineering

This role is for a Senior Systems Engineer at a defense technology company focused on developing next-generation air and missile defense systems. The engineer will manage architecture and requirements, ensuring traceability through test and evaluation for fire-control certification. The role involves developing system engineering artifacts, working with various engineering teams, and contributing to the company's digital and systems engineering strategy. Experience with systems engineering methodologies, modeling tools (SysML, DoDAF, Cameo), and DoD weapon/space systems is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Interface with stakeholders including internal programs and external customers.
  2. Assist in developing a robust requirements and architecture management plan.
  3. Develop artifacts based on stakeholder needs and work closely with functional areas to ensure artifacts are complete and accurate. Model Artifacts will often be contractual deliverables and require demonstration at stakeholder meetings and events.
  4. This role will be critical proving that Anduril offers real Systems Engineering and Mission Systems Integration capabilities.
  5. Lead and develop requirements and architecture products that provide full traceability, and configuration is controlled and managed across related Fire-Control programs.
