What you'd actually do

  1. Define Requirements, Verification Test Strategies, and Risk Management deliverables for subsystem(s) of a complex electro-mechanical device
  2. Guide the team through tradeoff decisions, balancing customer and business benefit with technical complexity, safety and effectiveness, schedule risk and other factors
  3. Understand the needs of customers and the business and align multi-functional R&D teams to meet these needs through effective leadership and strong written and verbal communication
  4. Key contributor with engineering teams to plan / de-risk remaining development work, considering key interactions and interfaces
  5. Help define and refine Systems Engineering processes and practices
