Senior Systems Storage Engineer - Expression of Interest

This role is for a Senior Systems Storage Engineer at ILM Sydney, focusing on the planning, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise storage systems and other core IT infrastructure. The engineer will act as a technical lead, provide Level 3 support, drive operational efficiencies, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with global IT teams. The role requires deep expertise in enterprise NAS/SAN systems, Linux administration, and DevOps practices, with a preference for experience in visual effects or animation industries.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as a technical lead on key enterprise storage technology projects, ensuring implementations follow best practices and are in line with project objectives.
  2. Provide internal level 3 support on technologies within IT Operations.
  3. Drive operational efficiencies of the enterprise storage infrastructure to the highest levels, through implementing effective service monitoring, maintenance programs and foundational system design with a global perspective.
  4. Work closely with other technical groups to ensure that IT standards and technologies are in line with overall technical direction and security posture of ILM.
  5. Maintain documentation and processes around key IT services in the organization.
