What you'd actually do

Skills

Required

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience as lead systems or test engineer on a software development program
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship

Nice to have

  • Experience with Systems of Systems Software Integration and Test across multiple operating environments such as Linux, Windows, Virtual Machines, and Containers
  • Experience with software development in Java and C++ and scripting in Linux shells, PowerShell, and Python
  • Experience with on-site customer software installation and systems integration along with leading formal software qualification tests and demonstrations
  • Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and the Unified Modeling Language (UML)
  • Understanding requirements development and experience using requirements management tools, such as DOORS
  • Understanding of designing system architectures and experience using architecture development tools, such as Cameo, Enterprise Architect or Rational Suite
  • Understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the systems engineering field (ISO/IEC/IEEE)
  • Experience with any of these systems: Link 16 Tactical Data Link (J series messages), Command and Control (C2), Surveillance/Radars, Air Traffic Control, Mission Planning, Missile Systems or Combat/Fire Control Systems, or Shipboard Combat Systems such as Aegis and SSDS Mk II
