Senior Technical Accountant

Senior Technical Accountant responsible for researching and assessing GAAP accounting treatment for complex transactions, preparing technical accounting memos, supporting SEC reporting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external auditors.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the accounting analysis and documentation for complex, non-recurring transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, financings, and strategic investments
  2. Advise cross-functional partners such as Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury, and FinTech on accounting implications of business decisions and policy applications
  3. Research and interpret U.S. GAAP to develop and present clear accounting positions to senior management and external auditors
  4. Own technical accounting workstreams for M&A integrations, including policy alignment, purchase accounting, and opening balance procedures
  5. Support preparation of SEC filings (Forms 10-K and 10-Q), ensuring accurate disclosures for significant transactions

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • CPA license (or parts passed) or international equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience in accounting
  • audit experience or a mix of public company and audit experience
