Salesforce is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to join their Professional Services team. This role focuses on delivering strategic engagements and implementing Salesforce Platform solutions for customers. The consultant will work with teams to discover, design, code, and deploy solutions, demonstrating technical thought leadership and ensuring successful delivery of enterprise integrations. Responsibilities include providing guidance on best practices, driving the creation of design documents, troubleshooting implementation issues, managing customer expectations, and building relationships with business partners. The role requires strong technical and solution implementation experience, object-oriented programming skills, and proficiency in both English and Italian.

What you'd actually do

  1. Contribute to customer success through front and backend solution development and release management.
  2. Provide guidance on the application and integration development best practices, Enterprise Architecture standards, functional and technical solution architecture & design, environment management, testing, and Salesforce Platform education.
  3. Drive the creation of application and technical design documents which leverage Salesforce best practices and effectively integrate Salesforce into the customer’s infrastructure.
  4. Troubleshoot key customer implementation issues and demonstrate the ability to drive to a successful resolution.
  5. Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners.

Skills

Required

  • 5 years of experience minimum in IT space
  • Hands-on technical and solution implementation experience in a relevant software domain
  • coding experience in object oriented languages
  • Ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration
  • Ability to support customers and project members in rationalising and deploying emerging technology
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team
  • Ability to learn new technologies
  • good presentation, communication and facilitation skills
  • Proficiency in both English AND Italian languages
  • Strong background in object-oriented programming (e.g., Java)
  • understanding of REST/SOAP API design, microservices, and event-driven architectures

Nice to have

  • Salesforce Certifications
  • Experience with the Salesforce Platform and / or other CRM products
  • Experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud and / or other products in the billing and revenue space (Conga, CloudSense, Zuora)
