Senior Technical Product Manager for Unity's Engine Authoring UX & Workflows, focusing on defining product requirements, improving usability of Unity's Editor and Hub, and driving feature delivery across engineering teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Working across the Unity engine, hub and other user touchpoints to identify and implement improvements to workflows, usability and improve the user experience
  2. Cultivate strong relationships with Engineering counterparts to lead product areas hand-in-hand. You will drive feature delivery across disparate teams, clearing roadblocks and aligning priorities.
  3. Partner with stakeholders (e.g. Engineering, Quality, Design, Documentation, Program Management) to identify business goals, user needs, and technical requirements
  4. Prioritize product features and improvements based on a mix of data and user feedback from key external partners and our wider development community.
  5. Collaborate with other product team members to ensure solid cross-product integration and minimization of redundant feature code

Skills

Required

  • Experience working in Unity, ideally as a game developer
  • Technical expertise and the ability to evaluate complex technology stacks that cross multiple systems and platforms (i.e. game engines, cloud services, and external APIs).
  • Proven experience and knowledge of UX flows, with an ability to understand and improve on how users engage with software & UI.
  • Strong product management experience, having lead technical product delivery of high impact features or projects, along with strong data and research skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven track record of effectively simplifying and articulating complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences, from engineers to executives.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Strong skills in roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and stakeholder management
  • Cross-functional collaboration capabilities to bring teams together as we drive towards common goals and priorities

Nice to have

  • Technical understanding of game engine architecture, feature development, and the developer experience
  • Expertise in high performance programming with languages such as C# or C++
  • Storytelling and visual presentation abilities to distill sophisticated topics into clear and concise communications
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25% at peak times)
