Senior Technical Program Manager to own the end-to-end reliability program execution for Rivian's Electric Adventure Vehicles, integrating Design for Reliability (DfR) into the product development lifecycle from concept to production. This role involves managing schedules, resources, and technical deliverables with cross-functional teams to achieve reliability targets and mitigate risks.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, maintain, and drive the master schedule for the DfR program, ensuring all reliability milestones are met within the development process.
  2. Drive the process for setting, cascading, and communicating Reliability requirements and targets for components, subsystems, and assemblies.
  3. Program-manage and track the execution of our DFMEA programs, ensuring resulting reliable design choices and validation test improvements are implemented and tracked to closure.
  4. Own the coordination and successful completion of the reliability section of all design reviews.
  5. Oversee the development of reliability design guidelines and the application of reliability lessons learned to enable continuous improvement.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology field
  • 4+ years of industry experience in a program management role focused on technical product development
  • strong background in reliability or related engineering disciplines
  • Understanding of automotive engineering release processes
  • Good knowledge of program management process and vehicle development timeline tools (e.g. Smartsheet)
  • Experience creating and implementing new program management processes
  • Ability to work and communicate with cross functional teams
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects
