Senior Technical Trainer

This role is for a Senior Technical Trainer focused on helping customers derive value from Samsara's Connected Operations Cloud platform. The trainer will deliver training sessions, develop training materials, and consult with customers to meet their organizational goals. The role emphasizes communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with a focus on enterprise customers.

What you'd actually do

  1. Produce new and leverage existing training materials as needed and in accordance with team standards and brand guidelines
  2. Deliver engaging live and recorded training sessions to new and existing customers at small engagements and large, in-person events
  3. Demonstrate expertise on across the Samsara platform and show facility in answering a range questions from customers during their training
  4. Collaborate closely with the rest of the Education team as well as other stakeholders to shape content for live training and share customer feedback from live customer events
  5. Consult with customers to understand and tailor training content to meet their needs and organizational goals

  • Ability to communicate sophisticated business software processes effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience delivering training (and making it dynamic) at both virtual and live customer events
  • Ability to manage your own work and to teach yourself new products independently
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently
  • An eye for detail and polish
  • 3-4 years experience teaching or delivering training
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
