**Boeing Global Services (BGS) **is looking for a **Senior Technical Writer **to join our Digital Content team in Englewood, CO or Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate is an outstanding writer with experience creating content for complex software targeted to aviation and technical audiences.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaborates closely with editorial, software development, customer support, product management, and services to develop high-quality user-friendly content.
Develops, maintains, and edits content for multi-publishing outputs according to department and company quality and development guidelines.
Participates in the software design stages to help identify and resolve gaps between requirements, technical design, and to improve understanding of the workflow to help the end-user.
Balances multiple projects, including projects beyond normal scope, and works as an integral part of the Scaled Agile team.
Ensures content and delivery mechanism meets end-user needs.
Provides regular updates on project status.
Mentors new writers with less experience in aspects of the job.
Influences product team by educating on our processes and standard methodologies.
Contributes to shared knowledge and industry best-practices across a larger team.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to determine content needs, and schedules. Works to plan to meet all scheduled deliverables. Adjusts to changing documentation needs, priorities, and program schedules.
Contribute to departmental best practices, including style issues, organization, configuration management, tools, and procedures.
Perform user and task analyses to create dynamic content that meets multiple audience needs.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years' experience in Technical Writing, Content Development
3+ years’ leading programs/projects to create innovative knowledge and information solutions
3+ years’ experience working in topic-based authoring environment (ie cCMS)
3+ years’ experience to competently use DITA/XML authoring tools, technical writing software
3+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced Scaled Agile software development environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Knowledge of developing eLearning, video, or other multi-media solutions
- Establish positive relationships and effectively manage customer expectations
- Ability to empathize with users and create content that meets their needs

Summary pay range: $115,600 - $156,400
