Senior Technician, Special Projects

This role involves building and modifying prototype vehicles, including electrical, mechanical, and software systems, as well as designing PCBs and integrating mechatronics. It is focused on turning ambitious concepts into physical reality for future vehicle models and special applications.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to plan project builds while utilizing Rivian network of teams and knowledge
  2. Manage internal and external technician resources on a per-project basis
  3. Build and modify mules, prototypes and show vehicles
  4. Perform diagnosis and repair of prototype vehicle’s electrical/mechanical/software systems
  5. Maintain a high level of communication with workshop manager pertaining to workload, personnel and equipment issues and needs

Skills

Required

  • LV and HV vehicle architecture for circuit and wiring design
  • design PCBs and integrate their functions into vehicle architectures
