This role is a Senior Training Specialist for the AGI-DS organization at Amazon. The primary responsibility is to facilitate blended learning, manage training schedules, track completion through an LMS, and identify areas for improvement in training approaches. The role involves evaluating trainee performance, providing coaching, and publishing training reports. While the organization works with generative AI and LLMs, the role itself is focused on training delivery and L&D, not on building or researching AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Facilitate classroom training following the approved curriculum.
  2. Manage the classroom to ensure an organized and productive learning environment for all trainees.
  3. Evaluate trainee performance on a daily basis to identify opportunity areas and help improve performance accordingly.
  4. Manage relevant tasks within the Learning Management System (LMS), such as enrolment and scheduling of learners & trainings, and troubleshoot any implementation issues.
  5. Publish training reports as per the agreed standard/template.

Skills

Required

  • Experience with Learning & Development and course facilitation or an equivalent professional qualification
  • Proficiency in English verbal and written skills
  • Learning/training experience and/or certification
  • Skilled in and can demonstrate experience with planning, creating, implementing, delivering and assessing various types of training
  • Communication skills for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development, including explaining technical topics to novices and collaborating with subject matter experts and managers
  • Excellent collaboration, coordination and organisation skills
  • Experience with one-to-many and one-to-many communication skills in both classroom and tutorial settings
  • Knowledge of adult learning and training practices
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience leading and coordinating within a group of peers
  • Continuous improvement skills

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in German, French, Italian or Portuguese verbal and written skills
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of eLearning development tools such as Captivate, Articulate Studio/Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, or Flash
  • Ability to use multiple learning methods and link appropriate methods with subject matter
  • Experience working with a globally-distributed management organization
