Senior Ux Designer, AI Governance, Workspace

Google Google · Big Tech · Sunnyvale, CA +2

This role is for a Senior UX Designer focused on AI Governance within Google Workspace. The designer will lead the creation of user experiences for enterprise controls related to AI deployment, agentic behavior guardrails, attribution management, and data security/compliance. The goal is to build trust, security, and reliability in AI systems for large organizations. While the role interacts with AI capabilities and model builders, the core craft is UX design, not AI/ML model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead end-to-end design for how non-human actors are identified, authorized, and managed, creating interaction models that distinguish between human and agent actions to ensure clear attribution.
  2. Reimagine Identity and Access Management (IAM) workflows for autonomous agents, translating complex role-based access controls (RBAC) into seamless, intuitive interfaces.
  3. Create dashboards and audit logs that translate complex generative AI actions into human-readable insights, allowing administrators to understand data access and permissions.
  4. Design policy engines and data loss prevention (DLP) controls specifically tailored for generative AI, enabling administrators to establish boundaries and restrict sensitive data.
  5. Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, Identity, and Security to lead design sprints, build prototypes, and advocate design excellence.
