This role is for a Senior UX Researcher on the Devices & Services team at Google. The researcher will conduct primary research, including field studies, interviews, diary studies, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and logs analysis to understand user needs and drive product development. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and advocating research findings.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences.
  2. Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments (A/B testing).
  3. Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  4. Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
  5. Advocate research findings through written reports and in-person presentations.
