Anduril Anduril · Defense · Costa Mesa, CA · Hardware Engineering : Electrical Engineering

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a Senior Warhead Design Engineer to support the Lethality Team. The role involves designing warheads and ordnance systems, creating prototypes, supporting testing, analyzing results, and developing mechanical designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, experience with CAD tools, and test experience. The role requires a BS or higher degree in an engineering discipline and 2-5+ years of experience in mechanical design, analysis, and testing of naval ordnance/munitions systems. Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design warheads and complex ordnance / munitions systems and help transition them from prototype to production.
  2. Create high-fidelity prototype parts and assemblies to assess performance through testing.
  3. Support arena, ground, flight, and system-level testing of munitions products.
  4. Contribute to project planning, test planning, design-of-experiments, safety coordination, and execution.
  5. Capture test video, compile data, review test outputs, and analyze results to inform design decisions.
