Senior Welding Engineer responsible for overseeing all aspects of welding processes and technologies, developing and implementing effective welding solutions, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. This role involves research and development into new fabrication processes, evaluating new welding technologies, and providing training.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop welding techniques, procedures, and equipment applications to address fabrication issues, drawing on your knowledge of production specifications, metal properties, and engineering principles.
  2. Conduct research and development investigations to test new fabrication processes and procedures, improve existing methods, develop or modify equipment, and identify new welding phenomena.
  3. Provide training to technical and operational personnel on joining techniques, applicable codes, weld inspection criteria, and other job-specific requirements.
  4. Establish welding procedures that guide production and welding personnel, addressing specification restrictions and complex fabrication methods.
  5. Evaluate new developments in the welding field for potential application to current challenges or production processes.
