Sensor Hardware Integration Engineer

Meta Meta · Big Tech · Sunnyvale, CA

This role focuses on the electrical engineering and integration of sensor hardware for Meta's next-generation smart glasses. The engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end product development lifecycle of sensor solutions, from prototyping to mass production, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners. While the role mentions integrating AI tools for workflow optimization and adhering to ethical AI practices, the core function is hardware engineering, not AI/ML model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with cross functional teams and external partners to push the boundaries of technologies and deliver sensor solutions in battery operated products
  2. Lead efforts to integrate new sensor modalities into high volume consumer products through all stages of product development (from prototyping, design through mass production)
  3. Leverage analog, circuit design, and optoelectronics fundamentals to build, debug, and validate prototypes
  4. Apply electrical engineering fundamentals to convert reference designs into custom product solutions.
  5. Design schematics, supervise board/Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) layouts, and actively participate in design reviews to support sensors integration into product
