What you'd actually do

  1. Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  2. Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
  3. Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  4. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
  5. Apply established principles, theories, and concepts to develop solutions that align with current industry practices and standards.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and one year working in industry (Associate PM) or Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience; master's degree and 0 years’ experience (PM)
  • U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • Experience in project management/ execution and closeout
  • Skilled use of Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project)
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customers
  • Experience with tools and systems for planning, scheduling, and managing projects
  • Experience developing content, packaging, and briefing communication to small groups

Nice to have

  • PMP Certification
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • At least 1 year of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
  • Understanding and application of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Excel Proficiency
