This role is for a Deputy Program Manager for Systems Safety Engineering at Northrop Grumman, focusing on supporting the Sentinel program. Responsibilities include systems engineering activities such as use case development, requirements definition, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability. The role also involves collaborating with IPT counterparts, developing architecture content, and contributing to system requirements development and management. What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts.
  2. Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs design.
  3. Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.
  4. Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
  5. Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration)
  6. The candidate will have experience in generation or review of design artifacts to support System Safety analyses utilized in maturing weapons system design for safety and support flight test and flight worthiness of complex systems.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors in Science in a STEM field and at least 8 years of related experience; OR at least 6 Years of relevant experience with a master's degree
  • US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Program Access
  • Experience managing cost, schedule and performance of large government technical statements of work
  • Experienced in system safety MIL-STD-882E (or similar) technical teams on large complex systems
  • Experience with AFSPCMAN 91-710, RCC 319-14, and/or RCC 324-11

Nice to have

  • Experience preparing a large complex system for functional testing/verification
  • Familiarity with NEPA and facilities development
  • Safety Professional (ASP) Certificate
  • Weapon System Experience (Minuteman III or similar military or industry experience)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
