Design Engineer/Principal Design Engineer on the Sentinel program supporting the design, modeling, and integration efforts for Civil-Structural elements of Launch Facilities, Launch Centers, and/or Test Facilities. Requires U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret and SAP clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Supports the design, modeling, and integration efforts for Civil-Structural elements of Sentinel Launch Facilities, Launch Centers, and/or Test Facilities.
  2. Work in close collaboration with suppliers and contractors, reviewing design builds & packages, assessing civil capacity, and managing contract design parameters.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years’ experience (Design Engineer) or 5 years' experience (Principal Design Engineer)
  • Knowledge of construction materials and construction details and techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of construction codes & standards such as: ASCE, CSI Dynamic Standards, and Engineering Change Proposal nomenclature relevant to the industry.
  • Experience with Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, and Engineering Scheduling tools and applications, and be able to use the Internet as an information gathering and communications tool.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts to both Government and corporate leadership

Nice to have

  • Proficiency with Revit BIM, Siemens NX and Teamcenter
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance with the most recent investigation completed in the last 5 years.

What the JD emphasized

  • Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Programs (SAP) clearance as a condition of continued employment.
