Engineering Manager 2 for the Sentinel Program's Command Systems (CS) Hardware Design Integration team at Northrop Grumman. Responsibilities include functional management (recruiting, performance management) for a team of 10-15 Individual Contributors, and technical program support focusing on CS hardware analysis, leading a diverse analysis team (structural, electrical, thermal).

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of experience; or Master's degree with 6 years of experience
  • Active DoD Secret or higher clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval
  • Experience in technical leadership/management role
  • Experience in writing and presenting technical content
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of and experience with engineering analysis principles

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Abaqus, Ansys, FEMAP, MATHCAD, Capital or equivalents
  • At least 1 year leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
  • Experience with one or more of the following languages: VBA, Python, MATLAB
  • Strong experience leading teams and training others
  • Experience with individual contributor performance assessments
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Operates independently with limited to no supervision, and the ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customers
  • Experience developing and implementing analytic methods to support test, validation, and qualification
  • TeamCenter CPLM experience
  • Experience in performing in an Agile environment and knowledge/understanding of JIRA
