Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an ESI Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead technical teams and provide personnel support for the Sentinel program. The role involves assessing external interfaces, mission scenario operational threads, and facilitating systems of systems interoperability. Responsibilities include technical leadership, personnel management, stakeholder interface, communication, integration activities, program support, and development of system engineering artifacts.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead Integration activities in support of systems-of-systems integration which may include integration test planning, problem identification and reporting, integration event execution, coordination with multiple stakeholders to facilitate effective and efficient communication
  2. Support Program Management activities to ensure cost and schedule objectives are met; support program status efforts including Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tracking and Control Account Management (CAM) activities
  3. Be proficient in the development of key system engineering artifacts such as requirement specifications and interface definition documents
  4. Provide guidance and mentoring to teams during project execution
  5. Manage and forecast engineering resources in collaboration with engineering management and technical leaders.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline
  • 8 years of relevant experience (6 with Masters)
  • US Citizenship
  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain Special Access Programs (SAP) clearance
  • 2+ years experience on large scale / complex system development
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience or CAM training
  • Experience working with external customers
