Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an ESI Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead a team responsible for external interfaces and mission scenario operational threads across the Sentinel Weapon System. The role involves technical team leadership, personnel management, and ensuring successful systems integration and interoperability. Responsibilities include communication with stakeholders, leading integration activities, supporting program management, developing system engineering artifacts, and providing guidance to teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Communicate effectively and report status and progress metrics to Program Managers, IPT Management, and customers.
  2. Lead Integration activities in support of systems-of-systems integration which may include integration test planning, problem identification and reporting, integration event execution, coordination with multiple stakeholders to facilitate effective and efficient communication
  3. Support Program Management activities to ensure cost and schedule objectives are met; support program status efforts including Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tracking and Control Account Management (CAM) activities
  4. Be proficient in the development of key system engineering artifacts such as requirement specifications and interface definition documents
  5. Provide guidance and mentoring to teams during project execution

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline
  • 8 years of relevant experience (6 with Masters)
  • US Citizenship
  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain Special Access Programs (SAP) clearance
  • 2+ years experience on large scale / complex system development
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience or CAM training
  • Experience working with external customers
