Manage and lead flight test operations for the Sentinel missile weapon system, overseeing engineers and technicians, ensuring readiness for flight tests, and managing program execution including cost, schedule, and risk.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage and lead multiple campaign teams consisting of flight test engineers who perform system-level tests on the Sentinel Aerospace Vehicle and Launch Equipment
  2. Lead or direct test operations to make missile launch equipment and air vehicle equipment ready for flight test, developing detailed test procedures, and conducting acceptance testing.
  3. Responsible for overseeing control account managers, statement of work mapping, contract compliance, company policy adherence, metrics collection, and reporting
  4. Develop, perform, and document tests, including test planning, test conduct, data analysis and post-test results as part of the Flight Test Team
  5. Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost, schedule, risk, and supportability/effectiveness analyses for systems

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree with 6 years of related experience.
  • US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
  • CAM certified with 5+ years of managing EVMs
  • 5+ years of Test Experience (Test Plan, Test Procedures, Test Reporting
  • Experience managing groups of 10+ employees.
  • 2+ years of Flight Test Experience.
  • Experience managing projects and the associated costs, schedules, and technical performance.
  • Prior ICBM or missile/rocket flight test experience with a successful track record of program performance, interpersonal team building skills, and cross-functional management experience.
  • Possess excellent leadership, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 8 years of related experience or Master's Degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance granted within the last 6 years
