This is a dual-hat role for a Data Analytics Manager 2 at Northrop Grumman, focusing on both functional management (20%) and technical responsibilities (80%). The technical aspects involve data visualization, data transformation, developing software for analytics tools that analyze statistical and machine learning models, designing AI algorithms for data analysis, and managing databases. The role also includes systems engineering, software development, and DevSecOps practices. A Secret clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for assessing staffing needs, current as well as projected and working with the respective team leads to address those needs.
  2. Responsible for supporting recruitment activities including the creation of requisitions, conducting interviews, and approving offers.
  3. Work with program leaders in establishing personal, program, and functional goals as well as performing performance evaluations and merit adjustments for subordinates.
  4. Provide subordinates with career development recommendations, mentoring, discipline, as necessary.
  5. Generate training plans based on the program and subordinates' needs.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience, 6 years with a Masters or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience developing semantic data ontologies.
  • Experience with statistics, including sampling techniques, survey design, and precision measures.
  • Experienced in programming languages, statistical packages, and computer-based data systems.
  • Experience working with large datasets.
