Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager Project Management 2 for the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. This role supports the PE&O team, focusing on Program Increment planning, cost and schedule management, employee SAP access, external partner onboarding, meeting coordination, and defining processes and procedures. The candidate will collaborate across organizations, serve as an assignment manager, and act as a liaison with staff and senior leaders. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, managing calendars, generating correspondence, maintaining files, planning meetings, leading employee SAP access, developing relationships, serving as a subject-matter expert, improving processes, delivering briefings, ensuring project completion on schedule and within budget, providing solutions to complex problems, identifying opportunities for change, navigating ambiguity, building relationships, and coordinating with various teams and databases. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience (or Master's with 6 years), an active Secret security clearance with SAP approval, experience in project management/execution/closeout, understanding of EVMS, executive presence, strong customer relationships, and experience with Active Risk Management portfolios.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provides horizontal integration across program business units.
  2. Act as the assignment manager for the PE&O operations organization.
  3. Serve as liaison with staff, executives, and senior leaders regarding project updates, and planning.
  4. Oversee daily operations in collaboration with senior leaders and directorates, and perform administrative tasks such as managing calendars, generating correspondence, maintaining electronic files, planning, and coordinating meetings, and scheduling facilities.
  5. Lead employee SAP access for Executive Leadership, Program Management Office, and Office of Chief Engineers.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience; Master's degree and 6 years of related experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
