What you'd actually do

  1. Manages a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting & operating to objectives & providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives & company policy.
  2. planning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for related Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large technical services-type contract
  3. Develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards.
  4. Responsible for all projects assigned to the organizational unit. Acts as an advisor to subordinate supervisors or staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
  5. Frequent contact with equivalent level managers and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, or contractual clarifications.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience; master's degree and 6 years’ experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security within scope with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
  • Demonstrated track record/ experience in project management/ execution
  • At least 2 years of program management, program integration, or program operations experience
  • At least 2 years of CAM/IPT experience on a contract with Earned Value requirements

Nice to have

  • Ability to demonstrate independent creative thinking and schedule driven problem-solving capabilities
  • Advanced Program Management experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Prior experience with the Deterrence mission
  • Active TS clearance
  • Current/Active Special Program Access (SAP)
