What you'd actually do

  1. Manage a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting & operating to objectives & providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives & company policy.
  2. Receive assignments in objective oriented terms, guide subordinates according to organizational goals and company policy, and review work to ensure it meets the organization’s objectives and schedules.
  3. Assume responsibility for all projects assigned to the organizational group; advise lower level managers and exempt employees; facilitate meeting established schedules and resolving technical or operational problems; and achieve results by delegating work through lower level management and exempt staff.
  4. Establish and implement operating procedures that impact organizational units, interpret and execute existing policies, and recommend modifications to improve organizational policies and procedures for subordinate units.
  5. Achieve results by directing subordinate supervisors and exempt specialist employees;?subject to approval, modify the structure of centralized functions and units;?and be capable of managing the company’s staff function.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience; master's degree and 6 years’ experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • At least 6 year of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
  • Demonstrated track record/ experience in project management/ execution and closeout
  • Firm understanding and application of Earned Value Management (EVM)
