Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer to support the Sentinel Program. This role involves decomposing safety manuals into requirements, providing systems engineering expertise for a next-generation ICBM weapon system, and evaluating physical security designs. The position requires a Secret clearance and experience with software development and analysis tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Performing decomposition of Department of Defense safety manuals into requirements and allocating them to design teams for implementation
  2. Provide systems engineering expertise to the design, integration, and testing of a next generation ICBM weapon system
  3. Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems
  4. Evaluate the physical security design based on the Department of Defense Safety manuals
  5. Interface directly with various compartments of the Department of Defense and Department of Energy to ensure safe design and operation of nuclear weapon systems

Required

  • US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a computer or software engineering discipline and 12 years of related experience, or Master's Degree and 10 years of experience, or PhD and 8 years of experience
  • 1-3 Years of software development experience
  • 3 years of experience with software analyses / test or verification of requirements
  • 3 years of experience with DOORs, Cameo, TeamCenter, GIT, JAZZ, C, C++

Nice to have

  • PhD in computer science or electrical, computer, or software engineering discipline
  • 3+ Years of software development experience
  • 5+ Years of experience leading Software Engineering teams
  • 5+ Years of experience with software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Graduate Certificate
  • 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering
  • 5 years of experience with DOORs, Cameo, TeamCenter, GIT, JAZZ, C, C++
  • 5 years of experience with software analyses/test or verification of requirements
  • Active DOD Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience working with Nuclear Surety Requirements and the Nuclear Certification process
  • Experience and working knowledge of the Sentinel program
