This role is for a Principal Financial Analyst supporting the Sentinel program at Northrop Grumman. Responsibilities include coordinating Estimate At Complete (EAC), working with auditors on compliance and Earned Value, updating accounting position papers, reconciling financial data, reviewing billing costs, and assisting with forecasting and long-range strategic planning. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent, and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and Microsoft Office is required. Experience with SAP, Cobra, or similar financial systems is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Coordinating Estimate At Complete (EAC) across multiple Business Units
  2. Working closely with internal and external auditors ranging in topics from EAC to compliance and Earned Value
  3. Updating and coordinating approval of our Accounting Position Paper
  4. Monthly reconciliation of actuals from SAP to Cobra
  5. Review of billing costs
  6. Assistance with monthly forecasting and LRSP (Long Range Strategic Planning)

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years professional work experience – OR – Master’s Degree and 3+ years professional work experience - OR - 1 Year with PhD. Additional 4+ years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Microsoft Office experience, including MS Excel
  • Experience working with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Financial or accounting experience

Nice to have

  • Experience with SAP, Cobra/MPM, Oracle Primavera, or Costpoint
  • Department of Defense (DoD) experience
  • Aerospace, Space, or Defense industry experience
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
