Principal/Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer for the Sentinel program's System Test Instrumentation team, focusing on research, design, development, analysis, and testing of mechanical sub-systems for test data instrumentation. Requires a Secret clearance and experience with CAD and test plans/procedures.

What you'd actually do

  1. System and component level analyses of complex systems

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline
  • 5 years of related experience (Principal) or 8 years (Sr. Principal)
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Ability to obtain SAP approval
  • 1+ years Experience writing test plans and procedures
  • 3+ years Experience using CAD design tools (i.e. NX, CATIA, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team collaboration skills

Nice to have

  • Masters degree in Mechanical, Aerospace , or Systems Engineering
  • Experience leading hardware procurement/supply chain operations
  • Instrumentation experience using fiber optic cabling
  • Direct experience with manufacturing and testing of instrumentation systems, specifically with accelerometers, acoustic microphones, pressure transducers, IMUs and data acquisition systems
  • Experience with environmental sensor measurements using specialized test equipment
  • Experience with Calibration of tooling and test equipment
