Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Structural Analyst for the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. The role involves managing Fracture Control requirements, performing fracture analysis (static, dynamics, stability, damage tolerance), participating in the Fracture Control Board, and serving as a Materials Engineering subject matter expert in fracture mechanics and fatigue/fracture design. Requires a Secret security clearance and experience with finite element modeling.

What you'd actually do

  1. The primary responsibility of the Fracture Control team is to manage the Fracture Control requirements for the Sentinel program and its suppliers.
  2. Maintaining the Fracture Control Plan and Process including submission, customer comment resolution and approval by the customer.
  3. Coordinating Fracture Control requirement flow down to suppliers through Supplier Management Teams.
  4. Perform fracture analysis as required to support the Analysis homeroom including static, dynamics, stability, and damage tolerance analysis.
  5. Participate in the Fracture Control Board responsible for assessing and dispositioning fracture critical parts and components.
