Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer for the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. The role involves test planning, execution, and analysis for prototype, development, and qualification testing of complex systems. Responsibilities include synthesizing requirements, developing test plans and procedures, performing technical analysis, and leading teams in an Agile environment. Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like CAMEO and DOORS is required. A Secret security clearance is mandatory.

What you'd actually do

  1. Demonstrate a working knowledge of Test planning.
  2. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints.
  3. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for competing systems.
  4. Coordinates integrated testing activities.
  5. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors in Science with 5 years of experience, Masters with 3 years of experience or PhD with 1 year of experience (Principal); Bachelors of Science with 8 years of experience, Masters with 6 years of experience or PhD with 4 year of experience (Sr. Principal)
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using CAMEO & DOORS SW
  • System Test planning/execution in an Agile environment

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with product integration, regression, and verification testing.
  • Knowledge of system integration and test principles.
  • Experience developing Test Plans and Test Procedures.
  • Previous test experience at any level of build (unit, element, segment, etc.)
  • Experience performing in a Systems/Systems Test Engineering or related technical discipline and understanding of systems engineering principles and processes which include test requirements, test plan development and integration testing.
  • Knowledge of System Integration and Test Principles.
  • Experience with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) standards and methods.
  • Experience with Automated Test Tools i.e. IBM ELM Jazz or MATLAB Scripting.
  • Experience operating in an Agile environment using any of the Atlassian software tool sets (JIRA, CONFLUENCE, etc).
  • Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and data review including post-test data analysis.
  • Proficiency in DOORS and Cameo.
  • Product Owner (PO) certification/experience - SAFE or Scrum Alliance.
