Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer for the Sentinel Program in Roy, UT. Responsibilities include supporting the full systems-engineering life cycle, from use-case development through verification, collaborating with IPTs, defining/allocating/tracing requirements, ensuring requirements in system models, performing functional decomposition and interface definition, and supporting verification. Will develop system architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture, contribute to requirements development/management/analysis, and establish modeling techniques/procedures for seamless model development, tool integration, and team collaboration. Requires a Secret security clearance with SAP clearance and access to CJ1.

What you'd actually do

  1. support the team across the full systems-engineering life cycle, from use-case development through verification
  2. collaborate closely with Integrated Product Team (IPT) counterparts to produce rigorous systems-engineering and design artifacts, working with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature a Weapon System design for a large-scale program
  3. defining, allocating, and tracing requirements; ensuring those requirements are accurately represented in the system model; performing functional decomposition and interface definition; and supporting verification activities
  4. develop the system architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture, modeling behavioral, structural, and analytical aspects of the solution
  5. contribute to ongoing requirements development, management, and analysis while establishing unifying modeling techniques, procedures, and processes that enable seamless model development, tool integration, and team collaboration

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline
  • 5 years of related experience (Principal) or 8 years (Sr. Principal)
  • Masters or PhD may substitute for experience
  • active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • Special Access Program (SAP) clearance with access to CJ1

Nice to have

  • Experience with Agile
  • Experience leading SE events (e.g., PDR, CDR)
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • 2+ years’ experience in developing and executing Systems Engineering (SE) process governance documentation in a Department of Defense (DoD) Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase
  • 2+ years’ experience in creating, updating, and maintaining requirements specifications in Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
  • 2+ years’ experience on large scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program: preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to production
  • 2+ years’ experience in creating, updating, and maintaining Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products
  • 3+ years’ experience with Systems Engineering (SE) principles
  • 3+ years’ experience with requirements development
