Sentinel - Principal / Systems Engineer - 18363

Northrop Grumman Northrop Grumman · Aerospace · Roy, UT +1 · Systems/Architecture/Test

This role is for a Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer supporting the Sentinel Program. The responsibilities include managing the full systems-engineering life cycle, from use-case development to verification. Key tasks involve defining, allocating, and tracing requirements, developing system architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture, performing functional decomposition, interface definition, and supporting verification activities. Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. support the team across the full systems-engineering life cycle, from use-case development through verification
  2. collaborate closely with Integrated Product Team (IPT) counterparts to produce rigorous systems-engineering and design artifacts, working with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature a Weapon System design for a large-scale program
  3. defining, allocating, and tracing requirements; ensuring those requirements are accurately represented in the system model; performing functional decomposition and interface definition; and supporting verification activities
  4. develop the system architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture, modeling behavioral, structural, and analytical aspects of the solution
  5. contribute to ongoing requirements development, management, and analysis while establishing unifying modeling techniques, procedures, and processes that enable seamless model development, tool integration, and team collaboration
