Project Manager for the Sentinel program, responsible for overseeing operational aspects of projects, managing schedules, budgets, and serving as a liaison between project management, planning, and line management. The role involves monitoring project progress, resolving issues, and coordinating with various teams and customer events. Requires experience in project management principles, Microsoft Office Suite, and excellent communication skills. A Secret clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  2. review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
  3. assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  4. develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience; 0 Years with Masters or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.) and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period
  • Experience in project management/execution and closeout.
  • Skilled use of Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customers.
  • Experience planning, scheduling, and managing projects.
  • Experience developing content, packaging, and briefing communication to small groups.

Nice to have

  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to code and create JIRA, Confluence Web pages within the MDT organization.
  • Experience using agile methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in technical data development is a plus.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Current/Active Special Program Access (SAP).
  • DoD Top Secret clearance or previously held.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations.
  • At least 1 years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
