Sr. Principal Systems Engineer for the Sentinel Program's Payload Re-entry System (PRS) at Northrop Grumman. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, system integration, verification, validation, and supporting the full systems lifecycle. Requires a Secret clearance and experience with DOORS and Core Systems Engineering principles. Experience with ICBM Weapon Systems is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform requirements analysis, develop source data for requirements, generate requirements verification, and help prepare test plans and procedures
  2. Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systems
  3. Apply the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications
  4. Verify specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis
  5. Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal

  • STEM degree
  • 8 years of experience (BS)
  • 3 years of experience with DOORS
  • 3 years of experience with Core Systems Engineering
  • 3 years of experience leading projects
  • SE process understanding
  • Supplier/customer interface experience
  • Requirement verification and validation experience
  • Analog and Digital Signals in Electronic Systems

Nice to have

  • Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace engineering degrees
  • 4 years of experience with ICBM Weapon Systems
  • 6 years of experience in Systems Engineering (Requirements Management, Validation/Verification, Design, Integration, N2 Analysis, Trade Studies)
  • General knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines (Safety, Nuclear Hardness, Nuclear Surety, Material Science, Environmental Qualification, Parts and Logistics)
  • Managing interfaces and communication protocols
  • CDRL development
  • System Milestone efforts experience (ARR, PDR, CDR)
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Active SAP clearance
