This role is for a Systems Engineer on the Sentinel Program, focusing on the full systems-engineering life cycle from use-case development through verification. Responsibilities include defining, allocating, and tracing requirements, developing system architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture, and supporting verification activities. The role requires a Secret security clearance and experience with ICBM or complex aerospace/defense systems, DOORS, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop rigorous and proper systems engineering and design artifacts.
  2. Use case development, requirements definition, requirements allocation, requirements traceability, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification.
  3. Work with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature WS design of a large program.
  4. Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.
  5. Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical).
  6. Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
  7. Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration)

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline
  • 5+ years of related experience (Principal) or 8+ years (Sr. Principal)
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • Special Access Program (SAP) clearance with access to CJ1
  • 2+ years’ experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems
  • 2+ years’ experience in developing and executing Systems Engineering process governance documentation
  • 2+ years’ experience in creating, updating, and maintaining requirements specifications in DOORS
  • 2+ years’ experience on large scale / complex system development
  • 2+ years’ experience in creating, updating, and maintaining Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products

Nice to have

  • Experience with Agile
  • Familiar with Teamcenter/CPLM
  • Experience with SE events (e.g., PDR, CDR)
  • Experience resolving issues and providing technical support
  • Experience using Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems
