Sr. Staff Systems Engineer for the Sentinel program, focusing on systems integration, external interfaces, and mission scenario operational threads. Responsibilities include technical leadership, oversight, customer liaison, integration activities, and developing system engineering artifacts. Requires experience with complex aerospace/defense systems and DoD contracts.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prime Technical Lead/Responsible Engineer (RE) for one of the external systems Mission Integration Threads which may include facilities, data, networks/comms, SW, HW and/or flight test readiness.
  2. Perform technical oversight, review, approval, and accountability of ESI technical content to ensure technical rigor and quality
  3. Provide technical leadership, direction and mentoring to other ESI team members
  4. Customer Technical Interface/Liaison with the Customer – Participate in technical review boards and regular interface and relationship cultivation with Customer Chief Engineers as required
  5. Lead Integration activities in support of systems-of-systems integration which may include integration test planning, problem identification and reporting, integration event execution, coordination with multiple stakeholders to facilitate effective and efficient communication

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM
  • 14 years of experience; 12 years of experience with a Masters’ degree in STEM; or 10 years of experience with a PhD.
  • Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance
  • Product Owner and Product Manager core responsibilities
  • ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems
  • Large scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program
  • Systems Engineering program milestone events
  • working with external customers to meet program expectations
  • supporting DoD contracts and/or large supplier management portfolio experience

What the JD emphasized

  • Must be a U.S Citizen with an active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR).
