Staff Logistics Engineer for the Sentinel Program, responsible for defining parts, equipment, skills, and activities required for system sustainment and operational availability. This includes conducting trade studies, leading logistics support analyses, collecting and analyzing data, identifying maintenance issues, coordinating with engineering and manufacturing, preparing technical information, managing repair reporting, contributing to proposal development, and ensuring compliance with military logistics standards.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform Logistics Product Support Analyses to define parts, equipment, skills, and activities required for system sustainment and operational availability.
  2. Conduct trade studies and develop sustainment strategies that minimize logistics footprint while meeting performance requirements.
  3. Lead Logistics Support Analyses for the Sentinel program.
  4. Collect, track, and analyze usage rates, maintenance trends, inventory levels, and reliability data to inform sustainment decisions.
  5. Identify maintenance issues, recommend process improvements, and define maintenance objectives and requirements.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12 years of experience; or master’s degree with 10 years of experience; or PhD with 8 years of experience
  • US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and SAP approval
  • Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and product data sheets
  • Defining scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements, determining associated spares, tools, calibration, and manpower, and developing repair processes

Nice to have

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Familiarity with Mil-STD-1388 type work products
  • Experience developing logistics work products on Department of Defense (DoD) programs
  • Knowledge of Integrated Product Support analysis in accordance with MIL-STD-1388, MIL-HDBK-502, or TA-STD-0017
  • Proficiency with logistics product database tools such as EAGLE, SLICWave, PowerLogJ, or comparable software

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
