Staff Manufacturing Engineer for the Sentinel program, responsible for engineering solutions in fabrication, assembly, system integration, deployment, and testing of engineered products. Involves developing manufacturing plans, conducting readiness assessments, creating BOMs, developing work instructions, supporting system design, and tool design. Requires strong organizational and communication skills, with a Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Represents the organization as a technical contact, interacts with senior personnel on important technical matters, facilitates inter-team coordination, and reinforces leadership’s vision and goals
  2. Develop processes by studying requirements; research, design, modify, and test production/deployment methods and equipment
  3. Collaborates with Design Engineering on design to ensure practical manufacturing and fabrication solutions
  4. Coordinates with the integration team(s) on day-to-day activities; resolves complex process issues
  5. Work with suppliers to develop manufacturing planning for successful preparation and execution of MRAs

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience (with PhD), 10 years (with Masters), or 12 years (with Bachelor's)
  • Experience in fabrication, assembly, system integration, deployment, and testing of hardware
  • Knowledge of manufacturing plans and readiness assessments
  • Proficiency in developing work and installation instructions
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
