Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking 2 (two) Systems Engineering Section Manager 2. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel Program. The selected candidate will be part of the Command Systems - Systems Engineering Integration & Test (CS SEIT) MS&A Team. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
The selected candidate will be responsible for a Systems Engineering discipline Section within the SDS Systems Engineering organization and will report directly to an SDS Systems Engineering Department Manager. You will provide career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team (Section) of between 8 and 12 Individual Contributors (ICs) based on Engineering goals, objectives, and company policy. Key FHR responsibilities will be personnel performance management, process familiarization and training for Section members, as well as staffing of roles on projects.
As a Section Manager you will be expected to spend roughly 20% of your effort on Functional Homeroom responsibilities with 80% of your efforts focused on a technical assignment on an SDS project.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Technical responsibilities may include:
•Modeling, Simulation & Analysis for specific aspects of the system.
•Leading a team of engineers supporting Command and Control Element.
•Support analytical requirement decomposition, development and traceability.
•Support MBSE strategy and implementation.
•Coordinate with sub-contracted product teams for compliance with contractual SOW and established program model governance.
•Contribute content for presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) with at least 8 Years of related experience; 6 Years with Masters degree
•Minimum 1 year experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis
•Experience with System Analysis using MATLAB, Python, C++, STK and/or other analytical modeling tools
•Experience in writing and presenting technical content
•Experience with structural and/or electrical analysis principals
•Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher awarded or reviewed in the last 6 years (or in continues evaluation)
•U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
These Qualifications Are Nice To Have:
•Strong Understanding of Modeling Simulation and Analysis Principles
•Experience with Department of Defense and/or Missile Systems
•Minimum 1 year experience leading a team and/or driving performance against schedule
•Excellent communication and organizational skills
•Experience with Systems Engineering including analytical requirement decomposition, verification, validation, and functional analysis
•Experience with System Analysis using MATLAB, Python, C++, STK and/or other analytical modeling tools
•Experience with Model Based System Engineering with DOORS or CAMEO and an understanding of DODAF and SysML
•Experience with Product Engineering Development and Life Cycles
•Experience with Agile development
•Experience with Atlassian Products such as JIRA, Confluence, ext.
•Top Secret Clearance
•Currently or previously held SAP Access
Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
