Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Safety Engineer / Principal Systems Safety Engineer for the Sentinel program. The role involves developing use cases, defining requirements, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability. Responsibilities include collaborating with program IPTs, developing architecture content, and generating/reviewing design artifacts for System Safety analyses to support weapons system design and flight worthiness. Requires a Secret clearance and experience with MIL-STD-882E or similar safety processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts
  2. Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs design
  3. Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model
  4. Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis
  5. The candidate will have experience in generation or review of design artifacts to support System Safety analyses utilized in maturing weapons system design for safety and support flight test and flight worthiness of complex systems
