John Deere is seeking a Service Manager in Perth, UK, to lead a nationwide team of engineers and manage workshop and field operations for their Forestry Division. The role involves driving operational excellence, supporting the growth of the aftersales business, and developing the team to achieve performance metrics. What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for all field and workshop activities in area of responsibility
  2. Responsible for the delivery of Service Department budget and other Key Metrics
  3. Pursues new possibilities to improve aftersales service, including customer visits
  4. Monitors high-level product problems/concerns and seeks commitment from appropriate departments/units so that necessary actions can be taken
  5. Develop and manage a team to achieve expected individual and department performance metrics and goals

Skills

Required

  • Experience of leading a modern customer support organisation in a dynamic and demanding environment to provide market leading customer service
  • Experience of managing a team of high performing engineers
  • Ability to utilise modern business systems
  • Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Nice to have

  • Experience and/or knowledge of the Forestry industry
