Shipping Receiving Coordinator - Level 3 or Level 4

This role is a Shipping Receiving Coordinator responsible for managing daily shipping schedules, verifying order information, handling export requirements, communicating with accounting for approvals, providing shipping data to sales, retrieving parts for inventory and shipment, reviewing part drawings for QA, creating work orders, performing inventory adjustments and validation, supporting inventory management, processing receipts of purchased items, utilizing ERP and export management systems, maintaining a safe work area, and complying with ISO 9001 and EHS management systems. The position requires basic computer skills, flexibility, overtime availability, strong communication, attention to detail, basic math skills, ability to interpret engineering prints, and physical ability to lift 50 pounds and operate a forklift. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree, experience in shipping/receiving with domestic and international shipments, and knowledge of shipping carriers and ERP systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Follow daily shipping schedule, verify sales order information, ensure any applicable export requirements are fulfilled, and work with the Sales team to address any issues
  2. Communicate with Accounting and obtain approval for customer shipments with credit or cash-in-advance terms
  3. Provide shipping and QA data to the Sales team as requested
  4. Retrieve parts from Manufacturing to process for inventory and shipment
  5. Review part drawings for QA requirements and shipping deliverables

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience
  • Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Flexible schedule and the ability to work overtime as needed to meet shipment schedules
  • Effective communication skills with peers, other department staff, and management are essential
  • Ability to communicate in English, verbally and written, in a technical environment
  • Strong work ethic, ability to multitask, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to interpret engineering prints
  • Maintain written/electronic records and keep an organized work environment using 5S principles
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate a forklift

Nice to have

  • An associate degree in a related field
  • 6-10 years in a Shipping/Receiving role with experience in domestic and international shipments
  • Knowledge of processing shipments through FEDEX, UPS, and DHL systems
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory management
